Bølle-abe/monchhichi
Bølleaberne var en serie af japanske abedukker, der fandt vej til mange pigeværelser. Hvis man havde råd, kunne man købe et stort udvalg af tilbehør og tøj, og hvis man ikke havde råd kunne man gå i gang med at strikke og sy. En del lærere kan stadig huske, hvordan strikkearbejdet til bøllerne foregik i klasseværelset.
Monchhichi
Monchhichi were a series of Japanese monkey dolls that became popular among young girls. If you could afford it, you could buy a wide selection of clothing and accessories, and if you couldn’t afford it, you could always start sewing or knit them yourself. Many teachers still remember how knitting projects for the Monchhichi took place in the classroom.
